For many years now, a lustrous voice has taken over public radio for a fraction of a minute, every day, to slip in yet another fascinating or surprising note about the sky and the universe. Every time, the voice reminds us that we can walk outside, look up, and see a mystery or a revolution -- and that there is an infinity more beyond our native vision, but accessible if we try.
The University of Texas McDonald Observatory started the StarDate spots what seems like long ago now, and the universe supplies them with material for a lifetime, every day. They don't have to worry that they'll run out of items.
StarDate Online is published in Spanish also as Universo, from the same pages. Books, magazines, t-shirts, astronomy toys, back issues, StarDate on CD, and more are available in the Gift Shop.
So go and get yourself a piece of the Universe.
